Rules of Engagement Part 2: Wear Your PPE

“Put on the whole armor of God that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.”

PPE is abreviation for Personal Protective Equipment. The Lord is very clear that this war is mostly very personal.

Meaning that the attacks that come are aimed directly at the most vital parts of our person. Holy Spirit has given us suitable protection from these attacks and tells us to put it on. Until this life is done we can not afford to take it off or permit any damage incurred to go without immediate repair. Be aware this is Spirit armor and any use must only be with spiritual discernment and faith. Just as, “the weapons of our warfare are not carnal.” So is the protective equipment of the spirit. Don’t be mislead by thinking that one must just blindly follow faith and trust and imaginary suit of clothes will protect you; such as in the story of the Emperor’s New Clothes. Where the emperor is told that only with ” enlightened visionaries can anyone see these special garments”. No. Rather, these are eternal things that will be yours for eternity. They are used now for real battle and protection from the serious war machines the have literaly killed many. And after the war is over will show an everlasting witness of the faithfulness of of our Jesus for our display to all creation.

Let us now get specific.

“Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the sheild of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always in the Spirit…”

Let us list these by order of the importance the passage implies;

  • Shield of Faith; Trusting what God says.
  • Helmet of Salvation; Knowing you are saved.
  • Sword of the Spirit; Mastering the word of God.
  • Belt of Truth; Knowing the truth.
  • Breastplate of Righteousness; Agreeing with God’s holiness.
  • Boots of Preparation; Go only when sent.

The above list is intentionally connected to the fruits of the Spirit and cannot be of any use unless the person is filled with the Spirit and has a serious devotion to the Father, Son and Holy Ghost.

Would you please trust Jesus today so He can save you in the evil day?
